Martin Spriggs is used to long journeys, from Canada's north to Africa. After retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, he has been busy working in health care and emergency services. His seven awards for his service in the military and in civilian life are a testament to his tenacity and pursuit of purpose.
His heart remains with his fellow vets, and on June 2nd, he climbed on his bike at ground zero in Victoria BC for one of the longest journeys he will ever take.
Your Life Counts is proud to sponsor Martin Spriggs as he peddles coast to coast across Canada, promoting suicide prevention, raising public awareness of mental health issues among Canada's military personnel, veterans and their families and linking every vet he meets with appropriate services.
You can follow Martin's life affirming ride on Facebook, while we work quickly to build our new Your Life Counts Military Directorate website and associated resources which will be housed here under the Your Life Counts umbrella. Updates, news and more information will be added each day.
Check in daily with Martin on his journey on Facebook - Coast 2 Coast because Your Life Counts and cheer him on with your comments. If you see him on the road, wave and say hi - if you get a chance, have a chat and take a photo and then email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and/or share it on Facebook .
